The Game Awards 2019

Last night took place The Game Awards 2019 in Los Angeles. The sixth edition was full of surprised… you can watch the incredible 4-hour-show here. The equivalent of the Oscars wasn’t broadcast on TV but was on streaming over 50 platforms worldwide, even more than previous editions. Many world premiere trailers of AAA and indie games and exclusive news were presented.

Nothing about cloud-gaming platforms such as Google Stadia or Xcloud, the evening was dedicated to games and… next generation consoles! Indeed, the executive vice president of Gaming at Microsoft, Phil Spencer came to reveal the name of the next Xbox console: Xbox series X and its first game Senua’s Saga. Watch for yourselves the definitely incredible design in this official trailer. Less than an hour after this big announcement, the first game on PlayStation5 was also revealed. It is called Godfall. Here the trailer, we let you choose favorite between Senua’s saga and Godfall… 

The most awaited award: Best game of the year went to Sekiro: shadows die twice. Congrats to all the team!! 

Donald Mustard made a special announcement about Fortnite. On December 14th, J.J. Abrams will be IN the game to share news about the next Star Wars movie: The Rise of Skywalker. Also, skins from 3 Star Wars characters were released live on Fortnite during the show. This game got the award for Best Ongoing Game second year in a row.
